Shower Trailer

A great need identified by those volunteering in the recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast is the lack of shower and hygiene facilities for residents and relief workers.  In response to the situation, the Trumbull County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) has secured a $14,800 grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to assist in building a shower trailer, equipped with four shower stalls and laundry facilities.  To meet this fundraising challenge, several corporate sponsors, including Home Depot and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers have stepped forward.  The Steering Committee, Thrivent Financial Representatives and local Thrivent chapters of Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, are also planning and supporting fundraising efforts.
